DRIVE TYPE LEVEL SENSOR
Working Principle
It is an electromechanical device consisting of a Level Sensor duly governed by a microcontroller based motor drive that maintains a uniform distance above the surface of medium. As the level of medium rises or deepens, level sensor senses its level & moves up & down accordingly duly maintaining its gap. This movement reflects the distance moved & hence will display accordingly on the level Indicator. The gap between Level Sensor & surface of medium varies from 2mm to 8mm respectively.
The Level Sensor is attached with a weight along suspended by a cable with motion provided by a motor drive and associated electronics. As there occurs a power failure, the Level Sensor reaches its ‘Home Position’ or Topmost position immediately. So that it should not come in contact with the medium.
It is the non-contact liquid level indicator with high accuracy. It can be easily used for any type of application medium i.e., liquid, semi-liquid, solid, sewage, slurries, powder, fuel, etc.
